Wayne enjoyed a very successful playing career. After a successful stint quarterbacking the Ottawa Sooners, Coach Jacobs was highly recruited across North America. Wayne left Ottawa for Texas to quarterback for the University of Texas-El Paso Miners (NCAA Divison 1). After UTEP, he returned home to be the starting quarterback for the University of Ottawa GeeGees.

             Following his collegiate career, Coach Jacobs travelled to Europe to play professionally. Wayne played for the Lyon Falcons (France 1^st Division), Landquart/Calanda Broncos (Euro and Swiss Premier League), and the Oslo Vikings (Norwegian 1^st Division and Euro Champions League).

             Coach Jacobs’ has been coaching quarterback for 20-plus years. His coaching career started at the age of 17 at the city and high school level. When his playing career took him to Europe, Wayne brought his coaching knowledge and passion to the European leagues, where he served as the Offensive Coordinator and then Head Coach of the Oslo Under-19 Team. Coach Jacobs then moved on to be the Quarterbacks Coach for the Swiss Junior National Team.

              Once returning to Canada, Coach Jacobs now serves as the Quarterbacks Coach for both the Semi-Professional Ottawa Invaders (National Football Conference) and the CEGEP d’Outaouais Griffons (CEGEP Football League). Wayne is also the Head Coach of the Ottawa Colts of the NCAFA Midget level.

              Coach Jacobs has coached at coaching clinics in Ottawa, Texas, France, Switzerland, Austria and Norway. He has coached in both English and French.
